SHORTAGE OF CARE ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES
PROPOSED RETIREMENT + CARE SCHEME WITH SCHOOL PARKING
We’ve carried out extensive research and consultation, and this is what we discovered:
• Within 10 years, the proportion of the UK population over the age of 60 will reach 27% – 18.6 million people.
A growing shortage of top quality private, care and later-living homes.
• A lack of community facilities for local elderly people.
• An acute need for school parking to address traffic chaos and dangerous parking.
• Inconsiderate parking causing damage and inconvenience for neighbours.
• A nature learning area for school children would be a valuable and welcome resource.
• A sensory room for children with special needs would be hugely beneficial.
• There are no local community halls with modern internet/Wi-Fi facilities.
